This photograph from about 1925 documents the community enterprise to raise money to build the Lamoine Hotel, built in 1926-1927 on the corner of North Randolph and East Carroll Streets. The photograph of the community was taken on North Lafayette looking east across from the Illinois Theater, now the Forum.
